Cultist Nabbed For Killing Man To Avenge Brother’s Death


A 21 year old self-confessed cultist, one Morufu Liadi, who admitted to killing a 29-year-old motorcyclist, Lateef Sura, was Tuesday, paraded by the Lagos State Police Command for murder.
According to Liadi, he joined the ‘Eiye’ Cult last year and he had been actively involved in the cult’s gang fights in the area.
He said, “On that day, my colleagues came to see me at home and said we were going for a birthday party at Agbekolade Street, Mushin. I stay in the Oju Irin (railway) area. The ‘Aiye’ and the ‘Eiye’ cult gangs had a dispute in the area.
“It was my friend, Rilwan (Balogun), and others at the party who pointed the man to me that he was the killer of my elder brother. I had not met the deceased before.
“My elder brother, Azeez, also known as Arsenal, died in April 2008. He was killed by cult boys. So, I jumped on the man and began to stab him.”
Liadi said he stabbed the deceased several times on the neck and on the back using a table knife. He claimed he did not know he was deceived.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, while parading the suspects, said they would be charged to court.

Nadia Buari, Ghanaian movie star, has bragged over her twin kids as she claimed they were blessings to her, saying they make her feel elated.

The stunning actress, who welcomed a set of twin girls with a yet-to-be-identified lover some months back, took to her Instagram page to express this.

In her caption, posing with one of the twin, the mother stressed that she is blessed with the kids who drive her to ‘insanity’.

“They know me in a way no one ever has. They open me to things I never knew existed.

“They drive me to insanity and push me to my depths. They are the beat of my heart,” she added.
“The pulse of my veins and the energy in my soul, they are my Kids,” she penned down.

Annie Idibia- Pepper Soup Business Paid My Fees



Annie Idibia, wife of Nigerian music Legend, Tuface Idibia, has revealed that she went through thick and thin while growing up to make ends meet.

The Nollywood movie star who spoke as a guest at the just concluded ‘YourDreamsOurReality’ series at Terra Kulture in Eve Secondary School, Lagos, revealed she once sold pepper soup with her mother to keep up with living.

The mother of two, who urged the crowd of students not to give up on their dreams, said, “I want you all to follow your dreams. I don’t want you to feel like the next person is more privileged than you and use that as an excuse for failure.

“I had no break time when I was in secondary school because I had to go to the market during breaks to buy pepper soup things from the market and put in the fridge for my mom to cook and sell in the evening. And after school, I would assist her in selling.

She said she had to do that because that was how their fees were paid.

Annie said, “I didn’t have a better option, so I had to do that to help my mother. And that was how I and my brothers’ school fees were paid.
“Today, I am living my dream,” she added.

FG Declares Thursday Public Holiday


The federal government has declared Thursday, October 1 as   public holiday to mark the Nigeria’s 55th Independence celebration.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior Alhaji Abubakar Magaji, made this known  in a statement signed by the ministry’s Director of Press, Yusuf Isiaka, monday.

Magaji congratulated Nigerians home and abroad also thanked them for their supports to President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts towards builing a peaceful and united Nigeria.

He further urged them to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for peace and unity across the country.

Davido - I Am Not Considering Marrying Anybody Now


Nigerian music star, Davido, has disclosed that he is not ready to get married any time soon.

In a recent chat with the Punch, the 22-year-old pop star revealed that despite having a 4-months old daughter from his alleged lover, Sophie Momodu, he is not even thinking about tying the nuptial nuts.

When asked on whether he will be settling down soon with his baby mama, he said, “Not at all; I am not considering getting married now.”

Responding to further questions if he had plans of tying the knot with another lady, the Skelewu crooner said, “Marriage? Oh please, I am not planning on getting married now.”

Emir Of Kano Sanusi Marries 18-Year-Old Adamawa Princess As Fourth Wife


The Emir of Kano has married Sa’adatu Barkindo-Musdafa, the daughter of the Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo-Musdafa.

Sa’adatu, 18, is the emir’s fourth wife. She recently completed secondary school and is being enrolled for higher studies.

Premium Times reports that the wedding fatiha held inside the palace of the Lamido minutes after Jumma’at prayer.

According to the report, the influential emir only sent out invitation to some dignitaries across the country, adding that Kano government officials sneaked into Yola for the wedding fatiha to avoid journalists.

The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, was said to have acted as the guardian for the groom, while his Adamawa counterpart, Jibrilla Bindow, played the role of the bride’s guardian, who gave her hands out in marriage to the monarch.
