In an exclusive chat with The Entertainer, the rib cracker
recalled how he was accused of witchcraft by his father’s wives and how
his once dotting dad kicked him out of his home at age five.
Abandoned and rejected, the future comedian was subject to a life of
poverty and deprivation and eventually had to stop school for seven
years due to paucity of funds.
“Poverty was like a second skin. I had to hawk akara through
out my primary school days. And after I finished primary school my mum
could not afford N250 to send me to secondary school'' Says Charles.
