A 55-year-old man, Ayodele, was among the 24 suspects paraded by the
Oyo State Police Command in Ibadan yesterday on the allegation of
robbing a pastor and raping his daughter with his gang members in Sanyo
area of Ibadan.
He was said to have led the gang to the pastor’s residence, where he
had carnal knowledge of the girl on the night of July 22, this year.
The gang allegedly stole the pastor’s laptop, two I-Pads, cell
phones, Toyota Corolla car, Mercedes Benz, wristwatches, N200, 000 and
other valuables.
Parading the suspects, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sam
Okaula, said Ayodele and three other members of the gang had been
arrested, saying they would be charged to court soon.
Ayodele, however told newsmen that he actually raped the girl. He
explained that he saw the lady as she dressed in a wrapper during the
robbery operations and considered her sexy.
