Policeman stabbed to death, dumped inside well in Benue

Confusion ensued in Gboko, Benue State on Sunday when a lifeless body of a policeman, simply identified as Onu Adeyi, was discovered in a well.
It was gathered that the officer, an Idoma, was a corporal attached to Gboko (B) Division.
Residents claimed that the late Onu was murdered by unknown gunmen who are currently at large.
Punch reports that the late Adeyi, popularly knonw as Baya Baya, was allegedly said to have been stabbed severally in the chest before he was thrown inside a well in his compound.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Hyacinth Dagala, who confirmed the incident said the command was investigating the circumstance that led to the man’s assasination.
Dagala however said his men were yet to make any arrest in the case.
