Wenger explains touchline clash with Mourinho

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, has sought to offer an explanation, as to why he and Jose Mourinho came to blows during Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday.
Eden Hazard and Diego Costa scored, as the Blues established a nine-point game between themselves and the Gunners.
“I went out of my technical area because I wasn’t happy with the challenge and I wanted to see what happened,” he said. “Someone stood in front of me and that was it. I say absolutely nothing else on that.
“Jose says we should have finished with eight men and I return that compliment. I don’t know how Gary Cahill finished the game. I don’t know how Branislav Ivanovic finished the game. I don’t know how Oscar finished the game.
“It is a concern to be nine points behind Chelsea, with the quality of the teams ahead of us, but we will keep on fighting and go on to the next game.”
Speaking on the outcome of the match, the Frenchman added: “It was an even game, but at the end of the day they have financial power and used it in a effective way with players like Diego Costa and Eden Hazard making the difference.
“They did not work our keeper more than we did their’s. We had more shots and missed opportunities to take more. We lost on details and this is unfortunate.”
