Manchester City set to make Hart world’s highest-paid goalkeeper

Manchester City are ready to offer Joe Hart fresh terms, which will see the England number one goalkeeper become the highest paid stopper in the world.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini, confirmed on Friday, that Hart was close to agreeing a new contract which is understood to be for five years.
The new deal will see the keeper’s wages increase by around 50 per cent from around £80,000 to £120,000.
“I always said it is important for this club to keep Joe,” Pellegrini said.
“He is a very good keeper and he is an important player for the squad. I can’t say exactly the amount of hours, but maybe in the next days you will have good news.”
Hart will become the latest City to pen a long-term deal with the club, after Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Edin Dzeko and Samir Nasri also penned extensions earlier this year.
