MASTER YOUR CRAFT

Two things happen when you pass through fire, its either you melt or you become stronger.  The people, who succeed in their various fields, are people who put in extra efforts, deprive themselves of the good things in life, and transfer all that energy into enhancing their dreams.
Determination is not the ability to dream big, but the ability to dig deep. Eventually, you’ll find something real big. At the end, it would be worth it.
A wise man once said, ‘’it is better to be prepared and not have an opportunity, than have an opportunity and you are not prepared’’.
We all have dreams, but we shouldn’t stop there. Work towards it, run that extra mile, exceed your limits, master your craft. Eventually you’ll reach where others can’t, and you’ll definitely turn out right.

Review Of 2face's "Ascension" Album,lols

Tuface needs no introduction, and like Messi,I don't have any Superlatives to qualify him again..
Diversity is his watchword and never failing to deliver seems to be his musical Motto...
Here is another album by 2baba himself, and the following are track by track review of the album..
Track1 - Go
He introduces the album with his usual party groove..One thing about this groovy track is that it must make you want to dance..Here is another thing,he combined it with love from Trinidad and Tobago by featuring one of its finest stars in Machel Montano...Let's go there!

Track 2- Aproko
Lol..Someone or some persons must have pissed 2baba off and he decided to lash out on them in this track...All the Aproko Hash tags and propagandas ,be careful..#Aproko

Track 3- Holiday
The normal 2face I know takes center stage on this track..Just live it up,let's go there..Tuface just tells us to feel free and enjoy Cuz its a holiday..The song is part groovy and part hip hop and a party jamz for sure..Let's enjoy the party with 2baba!!

Track 4 - Can't hear you
Here is the deal, the song features one of my favorite rappers,Vector and is my second best track in the album...Best heard than told, that's what I got to say here!!

Track 5 - The best I can be ft iceberg slim and Rocksteady
Iceberg really murdered this track..Dude is so hot on this track,he melted the beats with his flow..
The song is just one of those rap and blues infusion that is meant to keep your nerves calm and relaxed,Telling you to be the best you can be Cruz there is no need to force it..

Track 6 - Let somebody love You ft Bridget Kelly
Probably needs no introduction again..Just the normal 2face in his Full Afro rnb mode, except that there is an American infusion via Kelly..

Track 7 - Kiss of life
When I first downloaded the song and shared with one of 2face haters I know, he was like "woooww"
Never seen anything like it before,Cruz 2face purely went too Soul in this track, rendering his pure heart and giving the likes of R.Kelly and Toni Braxton a run for their money!!

Track 8 - Hate what You do to me
Okay, this is it..The most anticipated track,my best track from the Album...
a)If you listen to this track and you don't love it ,come and kill me...Period!

Track 9 - Confessions ft Rocksteady and Dammy Crane
You all know what happens when hypertek top artistes meet in one track,====>Bomb...In this one though, you won't be destroyed...

Track 10 - Close to where you are
A real cool pop song this one is..

Track 11 - International loving ft Kim Almarcha
Nigeria + France in International loving = Love without bodas....This song is not suppose to just be on the album,it was supposed to have been released as a single...Yes, Na me talk am! Unless,2baba wanted it to be. one of those album surprise...

Track 12 - Boulay Boulay ft Shurwayne
"Shurwayne and 2face,for all the ladies"
lol..That Shurwayne really is creating an invitation to murder with that intro of hers..Imagine the nonsense!! So make I no listen to this Sweet Celebration of culture via music in the form of calypsp? Try again dear!!

Track 13 - Diaspora woman ft Fally Ipupa
Zouk, is that what they call it?Don't know Ooo..All I know is diversity at its best in this track..Imagine infusing Nigerian and Congolese High life music's together.. That's what you get in this song..Really a musical cultural classic!!

Track 14 - Jeje
I said it before when I first heard "Pako",that 2face is living up to Fela Kuti's Legacy..If you have missed Fela, don't worry,2baba has remembered you in his Album..just that it is advanced...."you get 99 problems, abeg who you wan tell am all to?""
Abeg dey do your thing jeje dey go!! Jeje is the bombbbbbbbbbbb!!

Track 15 - Lesse Passe ft Victor Uwaifo
You all already know what to expect from this, but here is a spoiler, you won't see it here...Yes!!

Track 16 - Ife di Mma
A great highlife music, but an album filler...And this song shouldn't be on this album.Anyway, diversity saved it...lol,no mind me OK..Good song!!

Track 17 - Not a surprise
2baba always has a way of closing his albums with a bang..Not a party banger,but a Jamaican hiphop banger..lol
my rating: 9.5/10

If  you've not gotten this album bros you're on a long thing.

Mother Donates Kidney to Son in Record Surgery

A 42-year-old mother on Friday donated a kidney to her teenage son diagnosed with end-stage renal disease in a record five-hour surgery in Abuja.
A 15-member surgical team at Garki Hospital, Abuja--Nigeria's first experiment with public-private partnership in healthcare--performed the surgery Friday morning under lead of renowned transplant surgeon, Dr Nadey Hakim.
Hakim is surgical director at West London Transplant Unit at Imperial College.
The surgery, followed widely on social media, is the second series he's led at Garki Hospital, but the hospital's own surgeons could take over future transplants in about a year, it is hoped.
Friday's surgery was faster than the nearly eight hours the team spent on the first surgery earlier this year in a two-stage kidney transplant--removing kidney from a father and transplanting it into his 19-year-old son.
It took just around five hours to complete both stages for the 42-year-old mother who donated a kidney to her son, Hakim said, because the staff had become used to the procedure and instruments.
"The fact that we have managed to do that with the help of the nurses and doctors shows we will be able to do many more in the near future, now that the routine has been set," said Dr Hakim after stepping away from the operating table.
"I am quite optimistic with the help of doctors and staff here, we will be able to do many more."
In a year
Since kidney transplants started last year at Garki, which funds the kidney transplants and open-heart surgeries, its doctors are getting more confident handling high-precision surgeries.
"Perhaps in a year's time, we can do it without him [Hakim] being present, but he will always be on the end of a telephone line," said Garki's medical director, Dr Elijah Miner, who assisted on the surgery alongside two other surgeons.
He is expected to take the lead on the hospital's next kidney transplant while Hakim assists.
Kidney transplants are among top conditions that fuel the exodus of Nigerians for medical trips abroad.

We won’t surrender to terrorists •Jonathan tells Nigerians at Sallah

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan has insisted that Nigerians will not surrender to terrorists who have recently compounded the security challenges facing the country.
He also reiterated the commitment of his administration to winning the war on terror within the shortest possible, urging the people not to buckle under the threat of the brainwashed agents of anarchy.

In his message issued in Abuja on Saturday to mark the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, the president encouraged Nigerians to remain resolute in defense of freedom, peace and unity of the country.
“Although the observance of the Holy Month was sadly tainted in parts of the country with the continuing atrocities of extremists and terrorists in our midst, I urge all patriotic Nigerians to remain strong and resolute in defense of freedom, unity, law and order, peace, security and progress of the nation.
“I feel the pains and anguish of all our compatriots who have experienced the harrowing impact of terrorism unleashed on them by brainwashed and misguided agents of evil and disunity, but we must never throw up our hands in helplessness and despair as the terrorists and purveyors of anarchy want.
The president prayed that as the nation celebrates Eid-el-Fitri, Ramadan’s spiritual lessons and the Holy Prophet’s teachings of piety, love, justice, fairness, equity, peaceful co-existence with others, tolerance, honesty and dedication to duty will remain with all for the benefit and greater glory of the nation.

OUR EYES ARE WIDE OPEN YET WE CAN'T SEE

If I say Nigeria has not grown, I would be challenged by portraying pictures of how, I had refused to look at the brighter side. Pointing at the boost in telecommunications, improved road networks, our achievements in sports etc..
Listening to such examples, one would actually begin to think that they are right while I am pronounced the bad guy. Only the wise would acknowledge the fact that, these little things we hold on to, is just a mere cup of water from an ocean.

They claim they've built roads, yet it can hardly stand the test of our vehicles talk less of time. Soon, it returns back to the state it was before construction, if not worst.

They talk about telecommunications and my heart sinks, knowing truly well that,’’ most of us have our eyes wide open yet we can't see’’.
Nigeria, can hardly boast of a working self owned telephoning company. The ones we have are either grounded or dormant. We live at the mercies of international firms, who are quick to increase their charges at the slightest of opportunity. Who would blame them?, they say the cost in powering their facilities are actually baffling due to lack of, sufficient power supply. So they charge more in order to make profits.

This brings us to electricity. The thought of it, leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I can't remember the last time, I have had light for at least 12 hours. Yet we parade ourselves, as the giant of Africa when, we can hardly use our resources to better our lives.

How about employment level, security, fuel price, transportation ,etc. How are we as a country faring in these regard. I am convinced without any form of hesitation, we would be graded  F.

I love this country so much and I believe, it has the resources to be one of  the best countries in the world, if only, we can come together and stand for what is right.

We deserve more,
We deserve better,
And if by any means,
We are deprived of what we deserve,
It is our right to cry out,
Until that, which rightly belongs to us,
Are given selflessly,
With some virtues of,
Good leadership.
Then and only then,
Shall I beat my chest and say,
Nigeria has truly grown without any,
 Atom of doubt.

LOLS-Dirty undies spoiled Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s plan to blow up Christmas Day flight from US to Amsterdam

A MAN who tried to blow up a transatlantic flight by detonating explosives in his underpants failed because explosives had become “degraded” after he wore the same underwear for two weeks, it has been claimed.
Known as the “underwear bomber” Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was caught trying to blow up a plane on Christmas Day in 2009 en route to the US from Amsterdam.
The plane made an emergency landing in Detroit after the bomb failed to go off, instead causing a fire which left Abdulmutallab with burns to his groin.
US officials traced the bomb plot to al Qaeda and at his trial the 25-year-old Nigerian called the bomb a “blessed weapon” to avenge the mistreatment of Muslims.
John Pistole, head of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), told the Aspen Security Forum this week that the explosive device failed because of the length of time Abdulmutallab wore his underpants.
Pistole said “The bomber had had the device with him for over two weeks.”
Asked if this meant the bomb had become damp, he replied: “Let’s say it was degraded.”
After the botched explosion passengers and crew members were able to restrain Abdulmutallab and put out the fire on the Northwest flight.

Nigerians have not given up hope on rescuing Chibok girls-Joy Ogwu

Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Joy Ogwu, says the Federal Government remains open to negotiations to secure the release of over 200 schoolgirls abducted in April.

She was speaking on the latest terrorist attacks in Kaduna and Kano, which killed several Nigerians and injured many others.
Mrs. Ogwu said the international community should use the momentum created by the Chibok schoolgirls’ kidnapping to reflect and “go forward” in the fight against terrorism.
It is now more than 100 days after the schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in Chibok, Borno.
“Instead of a military option, the strategy has widened to include negotiation and dialogue with these people. I believe that it is time to move forward really, to find a solution to this problem, to find the girls first and foremost,” Mrs. Ogwu told the CNN.

She said Nigerians have not given up hope on the release of the girls as they have persevered in prayer vigils, protests and appeals to their abductors to free them.
“I believe that it is time for us to get together in a concerted action. At the UN, where I am Nigeria’s Permanent Representative, I made a statement in 2011 when the UN building in Abuja was bombed. I noted, very unequivocally, that violence and suicide are not in the character of the Nigerian. This is an alien culture. It is an external influence and it is important to work concertedly with all nations to make sure that it is not implanted in our culture.
“We forbid suicide as a people and people who commit suicide are not given a decent burial. So, what indoctrination is that, that persuades a young person who is named a terrorist to strap himself and bomb people or to abduct children? This is an alien indoctrination and part of the strategy to deal with it is to De-radicalise these people. They must be De-radicalized to become normal people again,” Mrs. Ogwu said.

It’s nobody’s business if I sold Aye to Davido —Runtown

Caved from an interview with Runtown, to confirm the rumor that he actually wrote the hit single Aye by Davido.

People are saying you sold the Aye song to Davido. What would you have to say?
A lot of people have been asking me that question. David(o) has had a number of interviews where he addressed how the song came about. So if you want to learn more about Aye ask David or read his interviews.

But did you sell the song to him?
The first time I heard about that, I felt it was nobody’s business to raise issues like that. I know we are in Africa and people like to ask questions, but it is certainly not my business.

We need clarification from you?
You cannot clarify from me.

Are you saying you didn’t sell the song to him?
Maybe the song sounds like something I would have done myself, perhaps that is why people are saying so.

Judging by his replies do you think Runtown actually wrote the song Aye?

Larry Koldsweat: The Veteran Actor Mounts The Pulpit

An actor of many credits, who named his role in the box office hit ‘Evil Men’ as one of his most memorable, Larry is so neck deep in propagating the gospel now that he doubts the possibility of returning full time to the entertainment industry. He however disclosed that even if he has such plans, it would be to do ‘’purely gospel music or movies that will exalt the name of Christ’’.  He also said ‘’it is God that orders steps. He has called me to work for Him and I think that is the biggest thing that should happen to a man-to go back to His creator and worship Him. You cannot run away from God if His hand is upon your life. At the fullness of time, He will come for you’’.

Ebola virus disease (EVD)

Ebola virus disease (EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) is the human disease caused by ebola viruses
The disease is first acquired by a population when a person comes into contact with the blood or bodily fluids of an infected animal such as a monkey or fruit bat. Fruit bats are believed to carry and spread the disease without being affected by it. Once infection occurs, the disease may be spread from one person to another. Men who survive may be able to transmit the disease sexually for nearly two months.

  • Symptoms include high fever, bleeding and central nervous system damage
  • Fatality rate can reach 90%
  • Incubation period is two to 21 days
  • There is no vaccine or cure
  • Supportive care such as re hydrating patients who have diarrhea and vomiting can help recovery
  • Fruit bats are considered to be the natural host of the virus

Nigeria 'on red alert' over Ebola death in Lagos

Nigeria says it has put all entries into the country on red alert after confirming the death of a Liberian man who was carrying the Ebola virus.
The man died after arriving at Lagos airport on Tuesday, in the first Ebola case in Africa's most populous country.
Surveillance has been stepped up at all "airports, seaports and land borders", says Health Minister Onyebuchi Chukwu.
Since February, more than 660 people have died of Ebola in West Africa - the world's deadliest outbreak to date.
It began in southern Guinea and spread to Liberia and Sierra Leone.
'Contact avoided' The Liberian man collapsed on arrival in Lagos last Sunday. He was taken from the airport to hospital, where he was put in quarantine.
Officials have identified the 40-year-old man as an employee of the Liberian government.

Mr Chukwu confirmed that the other passengers on board the flight had been traced and were being monitored.
The patient had "avoided contact with the general public" between the airport and the hospital, he said.
Health specialists have been deployed at all entry points into the country, he added.
The virus, which kills up to 90% of those infected, spreads through contact with an infected person's bodily fluids.
Patients have a better chance of survival if they receive treatment early.

The red alert in Nigeria comes as Sierra Leone launches a hunt for a woman infected with Ebola, who was forcibly removed from hospital by her relatives.
The 32-year-old, who is the first registered Ebola case in the capital Freetown, was described by national radio as a "risk to all

CAN YOU DEFINE LOVE?

If you can with a distinction, then I presume, you haven’t felt it genuinely,
because if u had, then, you’ll agree with me,
that the more u try to explain it,
the more u lack the words to...

Love is unexplainable,
It’s easier demonstrating with deeds, than explaining in words.
It’s a force that motivates one, to do for others, that which you could barely do for yourself.
It displays the goodness in someone, even when others could hardly see them.
It takes over your senses, all you crave for is to live for, another.
Love is intense.

I lack the right adjectives to define comprehensively,

Can u help?
