Frank Lampard scored the only goal
between Manchester City and Leicester City in Saturday’s Premier League match,
to equal Thierry Henry’s all-time Barclays Premier League total of 175 goals.
The former England international has
played for West Ham, Chelsea and City in his 19-year career and is also three
goals away from Wayne Rooney’s total of 178.
City manager Manuel Pellegrini, has
hinted that he is ready to keep the 36-year-old midfielder beyond his initial
loan spell.
Lampard’s first-half strike means
that City remains three points behind his former club, Chelsea.
